Hosting/platform

During development, hosting of the site has resided on one of my developer accounts. I suggest we sign up for mission-critical (high uptime, and top-tier internet connectivity) at FutureQuest.net. This is a medium-sized, high-quality company that I've worked with off and on since 1998. Everything they do is high quality.

The cost is cheap, our needs are low. $18/mo. We'll be placed on one of their shared servers, with uptime posted publicly.

As far as platform, we'll be utilizing:

• Linux/Unix-based hosting
  Unix-based hosting is the standard. It's more secure, stable, and most widely used. Third-party software is easier to find (message boards, etc.)
